African Munchies

Today we had the munchies, so we all tried some food that grows in some of the countries in Africa.

Megan and Megan loved the watermelon which you can find growing in Namibia.
Everyone liked the grapes. Loads of these are grown in vineyards in South Africa and they are used to make wine.

Rebekah loved the grapes and thought they were 'yummy'.

Mae said she loved everything. Here she is enjoying her passion fruit which grows in Kenya.

George found his apricot from Tunisia had a 'horrible' taste.

Here are Reece, Holly and Nathan. Nathan and Reece loved the falafal from Egypt, but Holly doesn't look as impressed.

We also tried couscous from Morocco, dark chocolate from Uganda, coconut from Angola and banana from Uganda.

Art Day

Everyone had a whole day of art in school. In 4/3B we ceated this wall display on Africa.
We made a pyramid and Mount Kilimajaro fom mod-roc. Did you know it is -25 degrees at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro? Brrrrrr chilly!
We made a collage using different blue papers to create the River Nile and the Sahara Desert from sandpaper! We all drew some animals we know Africa is famous for too, though we created the birds ourselves.
